With 9 research staff and 5 postgraduate students, the team works on optically-integrated III-V photovoltaic systems, covering materials growth by MOCVD, design and fabrication of multi-junction solar cells, characterization of solar cells, and the integration of solar cells with concentrators and solar spectrum splitters, to develop the core technologies and the key expertise for high-efficiency and low-cost photovoltaic systems with the potential of commercialization.
